Some years ago a local McDonald's announced they would give first grade children a coupon for a free Happy Meal for successfully completing the school year. One mom went to the school and said her kid wasn't allowed to have fast food and demanded that the school reject McDonald's offer. She was asked to just say, No to her kid but she refused because it would make her look like the bad guy to the child.
